We supported P&O Ferries in bringing to life their vision for two new state-of-the art ships called the “Spirit Class”, built to run on the busy Dover to Calais crossing. Their ambition was to create higher capacity and more commercial vessels, offering superior services and retail and leisure facilities to passengers.

Working alongside the main specialist ship designer, our remit was to make the interior spaces ‘belong’ to P&O and articulate the brand essence through graphic artwork and narrative that tells the story of over 175 years of rich P&O heritage.

Individually branded key customer-focused areas were designed for the retail and food and beverage offerings on board. We have subsequently been involved in replicating this look and feel on other P&O ships, on all routes to and from the UK. This work is ongoing in “Life Extension Projects” for older ships.

A P&O colour wheel was created in order to give the different spaces onboard a feeling of cohesiveness

Our work led to the creation of other route-specific offerings, such as 'The Brasserie', an onboard bistro. We also created the brand identity and ongoing campaign collateral for the recently launched 'Kitchen' on the North Sea.
